quote要素

quote要素は引用文を表すための要素です。

blockquote要素はブロックレベルの要素で、段落ごと引用してきたようなものを貼り付けるのに使います。

ブロック要素なのですが、body要素と同様、直下にはブロック要素のみしか記述できないので、p要素などでさらにブロック化しなければなりません。

視覚系ブラウザではこの要素はデフォルトで前後に空行が挿入され、インデントもされるようです。

推奨属性にcite属性があります。

この属性の値には引用先を記述します。
